The ingredients needed to cook Lady finger/okra:

  1. Use 1/2 kg of Okra/Lady fingure.
  2. You need as per taste of Salt.
  3. Provide 1 tbsp of Ajwain/Carom seeds.
  4. Provide 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder.
  5. Use as required of Hing.
  6. Provide 1 of Onion medium.size.
  7. Prepare as required of Coriander powder.

Instructions to make Lady finger/okra:

  1. Wash and pet dry bhindi with a towel.
  2. Cut in small pieces.
  3. Once done keep in fridge for 5-10 min. This will help to avoid the liquid kind of stuff while cooking.
  4. Now take the bowl.out and add turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt on bhindi and mix well..
  5. Keep this aside.
  6. Now in a pan/wok take oil and add carom seeds 1 tbsp and heeng and cook it till aroma starts coming.
  7. Now add chopped onion. Need not have small chopped once normal slice will also do.
  8. Cook it till onion becomes translucent.
  9. Now add bhindi masala with all maslas in it..
  10. Stir well.do not cover the wok. As it helps in retaining green color of bhindi.
  11. Keep stirring occasionally. One becomes soft and tender, add dry mango powder and stir again.
  12. You can also add chat masala a pinch if like tangy taste.
  13. Note; cook this on low to medium flame..
  14. Once bhindi turns lil soft cover for min and remove cover after 2 min..
  15. Switch off has,our delicious bhindi is ready to serve with chapati..
