Before you jump to Vickys Homemade Crisps / Potato Chips with Flavour Options, Gluten, Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free recipe, you may want to read this short interesting healthy tips about The Simple Ways to Be Healthy.

Every person knows that in order to truly be healthy you need to eat a naturally healthy and balanced diet and get a proper workout regularly. The worst part is that, at the end of the day, we don't always have the time or energy required for a healthy lifestyle. At the conclusion of the day, most of us want to go home, not to the gym. We want a tasty, greasy burger, not an equally delightful salad (unless we’re vegetarians). You should be pleased to learn that getting healthy doesn't always have to be super hard work. If you are persistent you'll get all of the activity and healthy food choices you need. Here are some ideas to be as healthful as possible.

Consider the stairs. Rather than using an elevator, climb up the stairs to the floor you live or work on. While this will be difficult to do if you live on or if your job is on a seriously high level floor in a skyscraper, taking the stairs to a home or office on, say, the fifth floor is totally do-able. Even if you do live or work on one of the higher floors, you can still get off of the elevator early and climb up the stairs the rest of the way. Most people will choose to be lazy and take an elevator instead of getting exercise on the stairs. Even if you only have one flight to climb, climbing down and up it during the day is a great way to get extra exercise.

There are plenty of things you can go after to become healthy. An expensive gym membership and very restrictive diets are not the only way to do it. You can do tiny things each day to improve upon your health and lose weight. Being intelligent about the selections you make each day is a start. Wanting to get in as much exercise as possible is another. Don't forget that health isn't only about simply how much you weigh. It’s about making your body as powerful as it can be.

The ingredients needed to prepare Vickys Homemade Crisps / Potato Chips with Flavour Options, Gluten, Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free:

  1. Provide 1 of enough oil to deep fry, I use corn oil and a deep frying pan.
  2. Use 1 of baking potato.

Steps to make Vickys Homemade Crisps / Potato Chips with Flavour Options, Gluten, Dairy, Egg & Soy-Free:

  1. Thinly slice the potato. I use a mandolin but watch your fingers! Don't peel the potato, keep the skin on.
  2. Start putting the sliced potato into the oil. Don't overcrowd the pan. Should only take a few minutes until golden.
  3. Let drain on kitchen paper but before the oil drains off, season the crisps / potato chips.
  4. I use either plain salt sprinkled over, or some salt and vinegar, or my favourite, onion powder mixed with nutritional yeast to make a cheese & onion flavoured seasoning, great for vegans! Paprika is delicious, salt & lemon juice gives a scampi fry kind of flavour.
  5. Toss gently to mix the seasoning through all of the crisps and keep in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
