The ingredients needed to prepare Tomato soup:

  1. Prepare 4-5 of medium to large red tomatoes.
  2. Get 1/2 tbsp of corn flour.
  3. Use 1/4 cup of water.
  4. Take 1/2 of tblspn butter /oil.

  6. Get 1 tbsp of Sugar (according to sourness of tomatoes).

Instructions to make Tomato soup:

  1. Wash the tomatoes. Parboil or pressure cook till one whistle..
  2. Let them cool. Peel off the skin..
  3. Blend them fine into a puree then strain it..
  4. Heat the butter in a wok..
  5. As soon as it melts add the tomato puree. Let it simmer..
  6. Meanwhile, mix water and cornflour and add into the tomatoes. It gives a smooth texture and thickness to the soup..
  7. Cook it for 2 more mins..simultaneously adding sugar and cumin powder..
  8. One it reaches up to a boil turn the flame off..
  9. Add in the lemon juice, salt and pepper as per taste..
  10. Garnish and serve hot. Enjoy !!!.
