  4. Get 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence.
  5. Get 1 tblsp of corn flour/maziena.
  6. You need 1/2 cup of boiling water.

Steps to make Mashmallows:

  1. Syrup Boil sugar and water for 5 mins after the first boil..
  2. In mixing bowl whisk balance of ingredients till no lumps remain..
  3. When the syrup is ready, add to mixing bowl and beat for +-30min and set in a well-greased rectangle tray/casserole. Chill in fridge. Cut with a knife dipped in hot water. Roll in extra cornflour and dust excess off..
  4. For setting in moulds as I did in the picture... Beat mixture until it thickens a bit and is sticky to the touch. Then spoon into well-greased moulds....
  5. Add colouring if desired. For a marbled look, don't mix colour in completely....
